Can't Sleep....

Is it bad when it's not even 4am and I can say I've been up for an hour already?? ::sigh:: I blame it on still being sick.... I actually even left work early on Thurs and stayed home Friday that's how sick I was. Lol. I never stay home from work. Oh well. I'm finally feeling a bit better now, but not too sure my stomach agrees with me. Well enough about that....

I just really can't believe that we're almost in 2008. W.O.W. It's insane how fast life passes you by sometimes, whether you want it to or not. 2007 wasn't a great year for us, we lost a lot of very close family and friends this year that we still miss terribly. It's hard, but you really have to go day by day. The holidays always makes it rougher to get through without them as well. But there were some good things in 2007, I just can't think of any at the present time. Ha! Let's just say we're excited to move into 2008 with a much more positive outlook on life in general. I have a feeling it'll be a great year for us and I'm looking forward to that.

Livi has grown up so much this past year, and there are times I look at her and just want to cry at just how much. It's hard to believe that this beautiful little, smart, interesting girl is the baby that we brought home from the hospital 3 years ago. She's learned so much and has filled our lives with so much love I truely cannot imagine life before she was born. And she's starting pre-preschool on the 10th of January. ::sniff:: It's crazy how much love one little person causes you to develop.

And in the spirit of looking back, here's a pic of Livi when she was less then 2 months old...

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!!

Ok, it's a little late, but who's counting ;)
I can't believe that the Christmas holidays are over. Wow. Where has time gone? I have been looking forward to Christmas so much this year, thinking Livi is at the perfect age to really enjoy it. Well, I was a bit mistaken. We had set out her kitchen set while she was sleeping, so of course when she woke up, that 's all she wanted to play with. Heehee.

Every present she opened she would want to play with, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it was just very time consuming. :)

After the gift openings, Mike made breakfast, then we all got ready to head over to Nana and Paps. ::insert drama:: BUT we made it over there for more presents and a wonderful dinner. (ok, dinner, then presents if you want to be tecnical, lol)
Livi had a wonderful time and loved everything that she got!

After presents, we had to rush out of there to make it back home by 5pm to meet Steve and Andi. They got there close to 5:30, then after battling a very tired, very cranky Livi, we all headed over to Elaine and Dave's for the Kraus Christmas. Livi loved playing with Landon and Brice!

Christmas in Pittsburgh

We went to Pittsburgh earlier this year then previous years...usually it's a New Years Day trip down south. :) Livi was very excited to go and visit with GG and socialize with Mason. They had soo much fun! Dinner was interesting...it ended up being 'standing room only' since there were so many people there. We had me, Mike and Livi (of course!), Emily and Mason, Mike, Mom, Dad, GG, Aunt Roe, Uncle Bob, Amanda, and Marc. It was actually the first time we were all there together in quite a few years. It was nice. After dinner we got to open presents, yyaaaayyy!! Livi opened one from GG first - a deluxe Magnadoodle. Well, that was is for her - she had zero interest in opening anything else! Ha! She also recieved a deluxe set of dress up Disney Princess shoes from Roe and Bob, along with 2 movies - Happy Feet and a Sleeping Beauty sing-along. Mom and myself did up the dishes while everyone else got into the football game and afterwards we dirtied more eating the pies that Grandma had made. Yum! We left around 6ish and got home at a decent time. It was such a wonderful day!

Christmas shopping is done!

I was out shopping most of the day today but I'm so happy to have everything done! I got most of it wrapped today, but there's still a few things that I have to do. I just cannot wait for Christmas morning this year. CANNOT! I can't wait to see Livi's face light up when we go out to the living room and she sees everything under the tree. I know I went way way way overboard, but I couldn't help myself! It was ok to begin with, then I went out today and just spent way more then I should have. But it'll be worth it to see Livi's face when she sees it all...

My Livi is 3....

She is getting so big. So smart. So inquisitive.

We just had a small birthday party for her here at the house, with Nana, Pap, Uncle Mike, Aunt Emmy, and Mason here and it was perfect! Livi really loved having everyone here and was so excited opening gifts this year.

Almost Christmas...

With a new year approaching, I decided to start a new blog website and toss out the old. In those who are interested, our old one is still there at http://shelldragon.wordpress.com/ , but I most likely won't be adding anything else to that site. Time for a change and hopefully I can keep up with this one a little better. ;)

Christmas is coming. Soon. Wow did it come fast this year! I'm really excited about it though and we even went out and got a real tree this year and new ornaments and such. No, it's still not anything spectacular, but it's a start. And I can honestly say I'm completely surprised that between the dogs, cat and child, the tree is still in one piece.

I really love our little tree!

I was all excited when I woke up today to start wrapping the gifts. Of course this year we're not going to put the gifts out until the middle of the night like Santa would, but I'm excited nonetheless!. So I pulled out the wrapping paper, boxes, gifts, tape, ribbons, scissors, etc when I realized that we are out of tissue paper for the boxes. Blech. And during our shopping today I forgot completely about it as well so I am no further ahead.
